Independence Day is right around the corner, and there are many great options for celebrating – especially if you want to see fireworks! We’ve gathered some of our favorite festivals and fireworks shows for you…so grab your sunscreen, dress the kids in their patriotic gear, and head out to a show near you!

June 29, 2018

Bloomington Speedway

Admission: $15
Gates open: 5:30 PM, Racing starts at 7:30 PM
Fireworks: Dusk

Kids 12 and younger are FREE with adult General Admission

Limestone Heritage Festival

Downtown Bedford, Indiana

Admission: Free, donations accepted
Fireworks:  10:00 pm

Bedford Revitalization Inc. hosts the Limestone Heritage Festival as a patriotic celebration for our community. We celebrate a rich heritage as the Limestone Capital with live music, a parade & fireworks display all in the heart of downtown Bedford.

Paragon Speedway 31st Annual Fantastic Fireworks Display

Admission: $17 (Kids 12 and under FREE)
Gates open: 5:00 PM, Racing starts at 7:30

July 3, 2018

B-Town Boom Fireworks in Downtown Bloomington

Trades District, Downtown Bloomington

Fireworks:  9:45 pm

Cook Group and CFC Properties, in partnership with the City of Bloomington, are excited to bring fireworks back to downtown Bloomington for the first time in years. B-town Boom fireworks are an opportunity to celebrate the Bicentennial of the City of Bloomington and Monroe County while kicking off Bloomington’s Fourth of July festivities.

Lake Lemon Fourth of July Fireworks

Riddle Point Lake Lemon, N Tunnel Rd, Unionville, Indiana 47468

Fireworks:  9:15 pm

Lake Lemon Conservancy District will be hosting the annual Independence Day fireworks celebration on Tuesday, July 3rd at dusk. A rain date is scheduled for Friday, July 6th.

The beach and beach parking area will close at 4 pm and visitors will be required to have vehicles and personal belongings out of the area by 5 pm. The point and remaining areas in the park will be available for parking and viewing.

Due to the amount of visitors last year, we will be cutting off entry in to the park once parking is full. Visitors are encouraged to show up early if you would like to be in the park for the celebration.

Columbus QMIX Musical Fireworks

Columbus Municipal Airport, 4770 Ray Boll Blvd, Columbus, Indiana 47203

Gates open: 5:30 pm
Fireworks:  10:00 pm

Columbus Regional Health presents QMIX Musical Fireworks 28 – Playin’ with Fire brought to you in part by Faurecia! The food and fun starts at 5:30 pm. Enjoy a magic show from Easterling Entertainment, LLC. at 6:00 pm. Then we play with fire when the fireworks start at 10:00 pm.

Don’t forget your LOUDEST, LARGEST portable radio tuned right to QMIX 107.3 FM. These fireworks are choreographed to your favorite tunes and patriotic standards.

July 4, 2018

Lake Monroe Fireworks

Admission:$7/vehicle (w/ Indiana license plate), $9/per vehicle (w/ out-of-state license plate)
Fireworks:  10:00 pm

Brown County Lion’s Club Fireworks

Brown County High School, 357 East Main Street, Nashville, IN 47448

Admission: Free, donations accepted
Fireworks:  Dusk

 

Ellettsville Annual Fireworks

Edgewood High School football field, 601 S. Edgewood Dr., Ellettsville, IN 47429

Admission: Free, donations accepted
Fireworks:  Dusk

Hosted by the Ellettsville Fire Department.  Completely funded by donations. Rain date is Saturday, July 8.

Martinsville City Park Fireworks

Jimmy Nash City Park, 360 N Home Ave, Martinsville, IN 46151

Admission: Free, donations accepted
Fireworks:  10:00 pm

Food trucks will be on hand, including Gather Around BBQ, Shucker Shack and Kona Ice as well as the City Park Pool Concessions. The pool will be open until 8 pm and don’t forget, the splash pad is free this season! Live music will begin at 3 pm featuring local and regional favorites.

    Solsberry fireworks are also on July 3. Some of the best in the area.
