If you’re like many moms, sometimes you just can’t make going to the gym work. It’s just too hard to get up, get ready, get the kids ready, pack a bag, and make snacks. Then, don’t forget the water bottle as you juggle everything else, get in the car, and drive to the gym. Once you’re there, you have to carry everything you packed, plus the kids, inside. Then it’s time to pray that the gym daycare is open as you go to the “dreadmill.” You’ve spent all of your energy just trying to get to the gym. You manage to get in a tiny workout and then you have to do the reverse of everything I just listed just to get home.
Sometimes it’s just not worth it. I get that. But, I have a solution. At-home fitness with your kids!
Including your kids as part of your fitness routine not only helps you get in shape. When your kids see you working out and trying to stay healthy, they want to do the same. Let’s face it, your kids mimic everything you do anyway, so you might as well give them something healthy to follow.
